Cardi B won’t be keeping her fans waiting for another seven years for a new album.
The 33-year-old American rapper excited fans by revealing her plans to drop another project in 2026.
On Monday, October 27, the Bronx native joined a live session on X Spaces to respond to fan requests for a deluxe or remix version of her latest album, Am I the Drama? She clarified she has no plans for either.
“I see you guys asking for a deluxe or asking to do a remix album like Charli [XCX] or something,” the Bodak Yellow hitmaker said. “Unfortunately, I am not doing none of that… What I gave y’all is what y’all getting.”
Instead, she teased her next era, “However, I want to put out a project another album in less than a year, so I’m really planning on that. I want a new era.”
The Grammy winner added that the upcoming release will be different from her sophomore album, released on September 19, saying, “I kinda know what I want it to look like. It’s gonna be different from Am I the Drama?“
Now only time will tell if the promise comes to fruition or fades into thin air like any others.
For the unversed, Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, has released two studio albums. Her debut Invasion of Privacy was released on April 6, 2018, followed by Am I the Drama? in September 2025.
Between these albums, she treated fans with mixtapes, singles, and features, but full albums remain the highly anticipated events.
While details of the new project are still under wraps, Cardi B, who is pregnant with her fourth child, will hit the road for her first headlining tour in February.
The Little Miss Drama Tour kicks off on February 11 in Palm Desert, California, and will visit major cities including Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Seattle, Houston, Detroit, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C., before finally wrapping up on April 17 in Atlanta.
