Jelly Roll got emotional while talking about his album, Beautifully Broken, receiving Grammy recognition.
In a chatty video posted to YouTube on Thursday November 20, the 40-year-old American rapper and singer sent fans into a frenzy with the debut of his clean-shaven face and reflected on his recent Grammy nominations.
The recently announced list from the Recording Academy shows Jelly Roll receiving three nominations for his tenth album: Best Contemporary Country Album, Best Country Duo/Group Performance for Amen, and Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for Hard Fought Hallelujah.
“When I look at these nominations, all I see is God,” the country music star said, fighting back tears while addressing his 2026 nominations. “I want to cry.”
He continued, “Wow, country album of the year. It’s not even about the album or the nom. It’s about the name.”
Emotional Jelly Roll said that the title of his 2024 Billboard 200-topping LP represents “what’s happening in the world right now, I think, more than ever.”
“Win, lose, or draw, holy f—, dude, we won,” he added. “I know a lot of artists give the Grammys a lot of sh–, but the truth is I feel honored … Y’all make fun of me now and leave comments about my double chin.”
For the unversed, the Son of a Sinner singer has been nominated for a total of seven Grammys.
He earned his first nods in 2024, for best new artist and best country duo/group performance for his and Lainey Wilson’s Save Me.
The following year, he scored nominations for best country song and best country solo performance for I Am Not Okay.
And now, he will be competing for three titles in the upcoming awards ceremony.
