Prince William is determined to ensure his kids are not subjected to the same “emotional turmoil” he went through in his own childhood.
As his wife Kate Middleton continues to recover from her abdominal surgery, her prolonged absence from the public eye raised both concerns and suspicions among the royal watchers.
Many would say it is akin to the treatment of the late Princess Diana, William’s mother, by the media, who underwent similar scrutiny over her health as well as her marriage with King Charles.
The constant thorn on their sides led the Prince of Wales take some tough decisions for the sake of their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Speaking to OK Magazine, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond shared, “William had a difficult childhood and a traumatic adolescence.
“[He] loved his mother greatly and is very close to his father, but he must sometimes look back at his own childhood and be determined that his own children will never have to undergo that same emotional turmoil,” she explained.
The royal expert also shouted out the Princess of Wales for providing foundation for a “stable family network,” hence, bring “immense joy” to William.
“[Kate] has kept him grounded through the turmoil of his grandparents’ deaths and his father’s accession to the throne – not to mention the troubles with Harry and Andrew,” Jennie said.
“This family relationship means that William and Kate have three happy, grounded children and an equal partnership in which they are both extremely hands-on parents,” she added.
